Hazret-i Server-i kâinât; o edebsiz, Ebû Bekre edebsizlik etdikce; birşey söylemez, ba'zan da tebessüm eder idi. Hazret-i Ebû Bekr; o bedbaht ve edebsizin edebsizliği haddi aşınca; zarûrî olarak gadaba gelip, birkaç söz söyleyince; hazret-i Fahr-i kâinât, se'âdetle ve devletle yerinden kalkıp, gitdi. Hazret-i Ebû Bekr 'radıyallahü teâlâ anh' Sultân-ı Enbiyânın ardına düşüp, yetişdi ve dedi ki:

- Yâ Resûlallah! Niçin, bir hayâsız, edebsizlik edip, gönül incitirken, susu, birşey söylemediniz. Şimdi, ben ona söyleyince, kalkıp, gitdiniz; sebebi nedir.

Hazret-i Fahr-i kevneyn ve Resûl-i sakaleyn 's.a.v.' buyurdu ki:

- Yâ Sıddîk! O hayâsız ve bedbaht sana dil uzatmağa başladığı zemân, Allahü teâlâ bir melek gönderdi ki, o kimseyi karşılayıp, kovacak idi. Sen, hemen gadaba geldin; söylemeğe başladın. O melek gidip, yerine iblîs geldi. İblîs-i la'înin olduğu yerde, ben durmam.

Hazret-i Ebû Bekr-i Sıddîk (r.a) ondan sonra, vaktli vaktsiz söz söylememek için, mubârek ağzına bir taş koyar idi. Ne zemân söz söylemek lâzım gelse, evvelâ fikr ederdi. Bir söz söyliyeceği zemân, o sözü kendi kendine nice zemân düşünür, tefekkürden sonra, mubârek ağzından o taş parçasını çıkarıp, ne söz söyliyecek ise söyler idi. Sonra o taş parçasını mubârek ağzına alıp, tesbîh ve tehlîl ile meşgûl olurdu. Kimseye, hayrdan ve şerden dünyâ kelâmı söylemez, eğer kat'î lâzım ise ve çok efdal ise, söylerdi. Yoksa, gecede ve gündüzde tesbîh ve tehlîl ile meşgûl idi.
